Residential Children’s Support Worker

Location: Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester
Salary: £26,800 to £27,200
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, permanent. No sleep-ins required.

We are recruiting for a Residential Children’s Support Worker to join a specialist residential home supporting children and young people with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in care, support work, SEN education or a similar environment who wants to develop a career supporting young people.

The Role

You will provide person centred support to children and young people who may have:

• Autism and complex learning disabilities
• Limited or non-verbal communication
• Other complex health and care needs

Your role will include supporting young people with daily routines, activities, communication, independence and personal care.

Who We’re Looking For

Previous children’s residential experience is not essential.

We are interested in candidates with experience from backgrounds including:

• Residential childcare
• Learning disability or autism services
• Adult social care
• SEN / Teaching Assistant roles
• Healthcare
• Personal experience supporting someone with autism or learning disabilities
