Description

• Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employment legislation, organisational policies, procedures, and HR best practice, enabling them to effectively manage employee relations matters including performance, attendance, disciplinary, grievance, and consultation processes.
• Support senior HR colleagues and operational managers with organisational change initiatives, including restructures, redeployment activities, redundancy programmes, and employee transfer matters.
• Advise managers on available options and associated risks relating to employee relations issues, enabling informed decision-making while appropriately challenging and escalating concerns where necessary.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation by delivering professional, timely, and commercially focused HR solutions aligned to business objectives.
• Provide coaching and development support to managers through one-to-one guidance and group training sessions on key people management topics, including performance management, capability concerns, conflict resolution, employee relations, and absence management.
• Ensure accurate and confidential HR records are maintained and produce management information and reports as required.
• Actively contribute to the wider HR team by sharing knowledge, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and helping to enhance the effectiveness of the HR service.
• Undertake additional duties and responsibilities appropriate to the level of the role, as reasonably required to support business needs.
• Promote and adhere to all health, safety, and wellbeing policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, contributing to a safe working environment for colleagues and stakeholders.

Profile

• CIPD qualified (Chartered or Associate level) or actively working towards a recognised CIPD qualification.
• Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
• Excellent organisational, planning, and administrative capabilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and establish positive working relationships at all levels.
• Professional, confident, and diplomatic approach, demonstrating discretion and sound judgement when handling sensitive matters.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy.
• Proven ability to manage a varied and demanding workload, prioritising effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive and resourceful, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Collaborative team player with the confidence and initiative to work autonomously when required.

• At least three years' recent experience operating in a broad HR Generalist or HR Advisor capacity.
• Demonstrable experience of supporting managers with a wide range of employee relations matters and people management issues.
• Experience of working in a busy and customer-focused HR environment.

• Comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of employment law, HR policies, procedures, and best practice.
• Sound knowledge of employee relations processes, including performance management, absence management, disciplinary, grievance, and organisational change activities.
• Awareness of current HR trends and the ability to apply practical, commercially focused HR solutions to support business objectives.

Job Offer

• Salary between £31,500 and £32,990.00, dependent on the level of experience.
• Fixed-term contract with the opportunity to make a contribution.
