Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Luxury Retail

Manchester | £45,000 - £50,000 + benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced luxury retail professional to join an internationally recognised luxury fashion business in Manchester. This is a key leadership position for someone who is passionate about luxury, exceptional client experience and developing high-performing teams.

We are open to experienced Assistant Managers, Deputy Managers, Department Managers and Senior Supervisors who have a strong luxury retail background and are ready to take the next step. The ideal candidate will be commercially driven, confident working with VIP clients and have a proven track record in CRM, clienteling and relationship-led sales.

The Role

Working closely with the Store Manager, you will support the leadership and commercial performance of the boutique, ensuring the team consistently delivers an exceptional and highly personalised client experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching and motivating the team to achieve and exceed sales targets

• Driving CRM, clienteling, appointments and repeat business

• Developing strong relationships with VIP, UHNW and high-value clients

• Monitoring KPIs and using commercial data to maximise opportunities

• Coaching the team on clienteling, selling techniques and client experience

• Supporting recruitment, training and ongoing team development

• Maintaining exceptional standards across client experience, presentation and store operations

• Supporting VIP appointments, events and wider commercial initiatives

• Acting as a senior point of contact in the Store Manager's absence

About You

Luxury retail experience is essential. You will ideally have experience within luxury fashion, accessories, jewellery, watches or another highly service-led luxury environment.

We are looking for:

• Proven luxury retail experience with strong commercial results

• Previous leadership, supervisory or management experience

• Excellent CRM and clienteling skills

• Experience managing VIP / UHNW client relationships

• A strong understanding of appointment-led and relationship-based selling

• The ability to coach and develop a luxury retail team

• Strong knowledge of retail KPIs and commercial performance

• A polished, confident and engaging approach with clients

• Exceptional attention to detail and high personal standards

• The ambition and confidence to lead from the front
