Job Description:

Aka Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with one of our valued clients to recruit for this excellent Vehicle Technician opportunity based in Bury . This position offers the chance to become part of a busy, modern workshop within a respected and established independent business that genuinely values its employees. The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays mornings . In return, you'll receive a competitive basic salary of up to £34,000 , with flexibility for experienced candidates, alongside genuine job security and a positive working environment.

• Perform servicing, repairs and routine maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment.
• Replace and repair vehicle components in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and health checks, identifying any additional work required.
• Complete all repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Undertake repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, clutches, timing belts and engine work.
• Complete all workshop paperwork accurately and within required timescales.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and ensure equipment is kept in good working order.
• Follow company procedures and Health & Safety regulations at all times.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure customer vehicles are completed on schedule.
• Consistently deliver excellent quality of work and contribute towards a productive workshop environment.

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or Diagnostic Technician.
• MOT Licence would be beneficial but is by no means essential.
• Confident fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Able to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
• Own set of tools required.
• Full UK Driving Licence with a maximum of six penalty points.
• Reliable, professional approach with excellent attention to detail.
