Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a caring, resilient and enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist school in Eccles, Salford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

The role:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday.
• Supporting pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Supporting emotional regulation, confidence and social development.
• Using positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
• Creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment.

The ideal candidate:

• Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
• Is patient, resilient, calm and understanding.
• Has strong behaviour management skills.
• Can build positive relationships and remain consistent in challenging situations.
• Is passionate about making a difference to young people's lives.

Experience in SEMH settings, alternative provision, youth work or residential care would be beneficial.
