The Role
As the brand's first dedicated social media hire, you will take ownership of its social channels, developing and executing a strategy that builds awareness, grows an engaged community and drives commercial success.
This is a hands-on, creative role suited to someone who understands how to build a brand through social media, create compelling content and connect with the target customer. You'll have the freedom to bring fresh ideas, test new approaches and help establish the foundations of the brand's long-term marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement a social media strategy to build brand awareness, grow the audience and establish a consistent, engaging presence across key platforms.
• Content Creation: Create engaging, on-brand content, including short-form video, Reels, Stories and other social-first formats.
• Channel Management: Take ownership of the brand's Instagram and TikTok presence, planning, scheduling and publishing content to ensure the channels remain active, relevant and engaging.
• Content Planning: Plan and manage the social media grid, developing a clear content calendar aligned with product launches, campaigns and key trading periods.
• Campaign Imagery: Coordinate creative assets and plan imagery around campaigns, product launches and seasonal moments to ensure a cohesive brand identity.
• Brand Building: Help shape the brand's tone of voice, visual identity and online presence, ensuring consistency across all social touchpoints.
• Community Management: Engage with followers, respond to customers and build a loyal community around the brand.
• Influencer Marketing: Identify relevant creators and influencers, build relationships and explore opportunities to increase reach, credibility and brand awareness.
• Trend Awareness: Stay ahead of social media trends, emerging platforms and competitor activity, identifying opportunities to keep the brand fresh and relevant.
• Performance & Growth: Monitor content performance, analyse engagement and audience growth, and use insights to continuously improve the social media strategy.
• business Collaboration: Work alongside external agencies where appropriate, bringing social media expertise in-house and ensuring activity aligns with the brand's wider commercial objectives.

About You

• Experience in a social media, content or brand marketing role, ideally within a growing consumer, fashion, lifestyle or footwear brand.
• A strong understanding of how to build and scale a brand's social media presence from the ground up.
• Confident creating content yourself, with a good eye for photography, video, styling and visual storytelling.
• Experience managing Instagram and creating engaging, platform-native content, particularly Reels and Stories.
• Commercially minded, with an understanding of how social media can support brand awareness, customer acquisition and sales.
• Creative, proactive and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Someone who enjoys taking ownership, testing ideas and making things happen without relying on large teams or significant external support.
• Experience working within a growing or scaling brand would be particularly advantageous.
