Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Senior Vehicle Technician to join a well-established main dealer in Stockport, Greater Manchester. • Working hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am–12:30pm

Duties:

• Conduct vehicle servicing and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
• Complete vehicle health checks using advanced diagnostic tools
• Perform additional repairs as authorised by customers
• Carry out warranty repairs following manufacturer procedures
• Conduct road tests to ensure fault rectification
• Complete all relevant paperwork and job cards to high standards
• Maintain excellent standards of workmanship and customer service
• Support workshop team members and contribute to a positive working environment

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within a main dealer or independent garage
• Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical faults
• Full and valid UK driving licence
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
• Ability to work independently and support team colleagues
• Proactive and aiming for career growth
• Diagnostic, MOT, and Hybrid/EV experience is advantageous but not essential
• Manufacturer-specific training and accreditation will be provided as needed for this Senior Vehicle Technician job
