The Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be at the forefront of nuclear project development, leading electrical design substantiation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating across multi-disciplinary teams. Your responsibilities will include chairing safety and design review meetings, developing strategies to address design transitions, and ensuring adherence to various electrical codes and standards. You will also oversee the qualification of electrical equipment, interface with instrumentation and control systems, and support safe plant optimisation from concept through detailed design.

You will have the following qualifications & experience:

• Proven expertise in nuclear electrical design within the UK GDA or licensing phases.
• Extensive experience in safety, security, and environmental substantiation of electrical equipment.
• Expert knowledge in safety case development, ALARP assessments, and graded QA approaches.
• Well-versed in addressing 50Hz/60Hz design challenges, grid code compliance, and equipment qualification.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and international regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership in liaising with regulators, managing multi-stakeholder interfaces, and chairing high-level meetings.
