SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Rochdale
Pay: £110per day, depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, temporary ongoing
Start Date: ASAP

Are you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

We're working with a welcoming SEN school in Rochdale that is looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide valuable support to pupils with additional needs.

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
• Support children with needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties and learning difficulties
• Help pupils engage with learning and develop their confidence and independence
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support
• Assist with classroom activities and adapted learning
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis
• Good understanding of behaviour management and safeguarding
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A relevant TA/SEN qualification is desirable but not essential
