Are you an experienced Production/Manufacturing Engineer.  Our client is currently recruiting an experienced Production/Manufacturing Engineer.  Reporting to the Engineering Director, the role of Production/Manufacturing Engineer provides a support function to all areas of production of the business.

Role responsibilities:

• Transfer and embed best practice
• Act as the manufacturing engineering authority on the shopfloor
• Lead lean improvement, problem-solving, and line balancing activities
• Drive cost, quality, safety, and waste reduction through CI culture
• Provide Design for Manufacture input and manage engineering changes
• Create standard operations, work instructions, and balance charts
• Support cross-functional project execution
• Ensure full compliance with EHS and quality standards

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience with machining/tooling (e.g., CNC turning and milling) (knowledge of Grinding would be an advantage)
• Experience in a manufacturing engineering role – experience with tool management
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
• Knowledge of CAM software and CNC programming
• 3D Modelling – preferably Creo
• Creating BOMs and routings
• Experience in fixture design
