Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our established automotive group in Bolton, Greater Manchester. This permanent, full-time Management Accountant position offers a basic salary of £50,000–£57,000, a performance-related bonus scheme with OTE of £60,000–£65,000, and a company car.

As our Management Accountant, you will provide accurate financial reporting, commercial insight and support to senior management while leading a small accounts and administration team. This is a Monday-to-Friday role, working 40 hours per week with no weekend work.

Duties:

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business performance
• Manage day-to-day financial activities and respond to queries
• Identify financial variances and improvement opportunities
• Lead, motivate and support a small team
• Maintain financial processes and procedures in line with company standards
• Work closely with senior management and key business stakeholders

Requirements:

• Recognised accountancy qualification or qualification by experience
• Previous experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar finance role
• Strong analytical, numerical and financial reporting skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial responsibilities
• Experience leading, motivating or supporting a team
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Proactive, commercially aware and professional approach
• Automotive experience is advantageous, although commercial and retail finance backgrounds are also welcomed
