An established manufacturing business based in Glossop is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team.

This is a great opportunity for a mechanically strong engineer looking for a Monday-Friday, days-only position, working 7:00am-3:30pm, within a stable manufacturing environment.

You'll be responsible for keeping production machinery and equipment running reliably, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, and supporting ongoing improvements across the site.

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults

• Fault-finding on electrical systems and components

• Working with motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and pneumatic systems

• Carrying out preventative maintenance to reduce machinery downtime

• Responding to breakdowns and identifying root causes

• Supporting machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects

• Carrying out fabrication, welding and general workshop maintenance where required

• Working closely with production teams to resolve machinery issues

• Helping improve the reliability and efficiency of site equipment

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment

• Strong mechanical maintenance background

• Experience fault-finding on production machinery

• Good electrical maintenance and fault-finding skills

• Experience with motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and pneumatics

• Practical, hands-on approach to engineering

• Ability to diagnose faults and implement permanent solutions

• Manufacturing, production or process engineering experience

• £42,000 per annum

• Monday-Friday

• 7:00am-3:30pm

• Days-only working
