Job Description:

An established law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join its busy Road Traffic Accidents (RTA) team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to provide secretarial and administrative support to a team of Lawyers, assisting with the smooth running of a varied caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Working within a pool of Legal Secretaries to support multiple RTA Lawyers.
• Preparing legal correspondence, pleadings, court bundles and other documentation.
• Managing telephone enquiries and liaising professionally with clients, Counsel and other stakeholders.
• Coordinating appointments, meetings and conferences.
• Maintaining accurate files, including scanning, photocopying and document management.
• Updating the Proclaim case management system where required.
• Supporting colleagues and the wider administration team with day-to-day tasks.

About You

• Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary is essential.
• Excellent audio typing and word processing skills, with a typing speed of 65+ WPM.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong IT skills and a professional telephone manner.
• Experience using Proclaim and digital dictation software, particularly Diktamen, would be advantageous.
