Geotechnical Engineer

Manchester

£35,000 - £45,000 + Benefits

A well-established engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Geotechnical Engineer to join their Manchester team. The role would suit an experienced Graduate or Geotechnical Engineer looking to develop their career across a varied range of ground engineering projects.

The Role:

• Undertake geotechnical assessments and interpret ground investigation data.
• Produce factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
• Carry out slope stability, bearing capacity and settlement assessments.
• Assist with foundation, retaining wall and earthworks design.
• Review ground investigation information and develop ground models.
• Support site investigations and liaise with contractors and clients.
• Work alongside engineers across wider civil and infrastructure projects.

The Candidate:

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject.
• Previous experience within a geotechnical consultancy or ground engineering environment.
• Good understanding of geotechnical principles and UK ground conditions.
• Experience with geotechnical calculations and design software would be beneficial.
• Strong report-writing and communication skills.
• Working towards or interested in achieving Chartered status.
