We’re working with an established manufacturing business that is looking for a General Manager to drive its next phase of growth.

This is an opportunity for someone who has already built a strong track record in commercial, sales, operations or business leadership and is ready for their next challenge.

You won't need to have been a General Manager before. What matters is that you're commercially sharp, ambitious, tenacious and ready to take accountability.

What You Get

• A base salary of £60-70k DOE
• Annual Bonus
• Car Allowance 

The Role

Working closely with the MD and Board, you'll take a leading role in shaping the direction of the business and delivering profitable growth.

• You’ll be responsible for driving commercial strategy, revenue and profitability
• Developing existing customer relationships and winning new business
• Identifying new markets, opportunities and strategic partnerships
• Leading commercial negotiations, pricing and key opportunities
• Taking ownership of business performance and key KPIs
• Providing strategic oversight of operational performance
• Leading and challenging senior managers to deliver results
• Using P&L and financial information to make commercially sound decisions
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, performance and profitability
• Helping shape the future direction of the business

About You

We're looking for someone with ambition, energy and commercial conviction.

You might currently be a Commercial Manager, Operations Manager or similar, and feel ready to take that next step.

You'll be someone who:

• Is tenacious, driven and hungry to succeed
• Isn't afraid to challenge the status quo
• Has the confidence to say no when the numbers or business case don't stack up
• Makes decisions rather than sitting on the fence
• Has genuine commercial and financial acumen
• Has had exposure to P&L responsibility and understands what drives profitability
• Can build strong customer relationships while protecting the interests of the business
• Is comfortable influencing and challenging senior stakeholders
• Can lead people, create accountability and get things done
• Has the ambition to grow with the business and take on increasing responsibility

Experience within textile manufacturing or a related sector is essential, as is your commercial mindset, leadership potential and track record of getting results.

This isn't a role where you'll simply inherit a job description and maintain the status quo.
