Garage Helper / Tyre Fitter

Location: M38 – Little Hulton, Manchester
Hours: Monday–Saturday, 6 hours per day in the afternoon
Total: 36 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours over time
Pay: £12.71 per hour, with potential for an increase following successful training

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Garage Helper / Tyre Fitter to join our busy garage in Little Hulton.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work and is comfortable working in a physically demanding environment. Full training will be provided, with the opportunity to develop your skills and increase your pay following successful training.

Key Responsibilities

• Fitting and changing tyres on cars, vans and larger vehicles/trucks

• Removing and fitting wheels and tyres safely

• Carrying out general garage duties

• Assisting other members of the garage team

• Moving and handling tyres and other equipment

• Heavy lifting as part of the day-to-day role

• Keeping the workshop clean, organised and safe

• Following all health and safety procedures

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking

• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting

• Practical and willing to learn

• Comfortable working with larger vehicles and heavy tyres

• Able to follow instructions and work safely

• A team player with a positive attitude

Previous garage or tyre-fitting experience is needed
