Job Description:

Are you an enthusiastic and practical individual with a passion for environmental monitoring? We are seeking a dedicated Air Quality Monitoring Technician to join our specialist team in Manchester. As an Air Quality Monitoring Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting ambient air quality monitoring using passive and continuous automatic methods.
• Performing indoor air quality monitoring.
• Undertaking field odour assessments and source-specific measurements.
• Carrying out bioaerosol monitoring and industrial emissions characterisation.
• Managing and delivering monitoring projects, including client liaison and logistical planning.
• Producing high-quality documentation, such as laboratory chain of custody forms and technical reports.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following:

• A minimum qualification of Level 3 (A Level or NVQ).
• Practical experience in environmental monitoring (desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided).
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong communication abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A practical mindset with the ability to use common tools for commissioning on-site monitoring equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• A full driving licence and access to a personal vehicle for work purposes.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK, including overnight stays.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting ambient, indoor, and industrial emissions monitoring.
• Completing field odour surveys.
• Calibrating, managing, and maintaining sampling and laboratory equipment.
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, and consultants.
• Managing multiple projects and monitoring campaigns.
• Travelling across the UK with occasional overnight stays.
