Electrical Testing Engineer

£50,000 + Overtime (Dependant on Experience)- Up to Double Time

Manchester and Surrounding Areas

Full time | Permanent |50 Hours per Week Paid Door to door

Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider.

We are currently recruiting for a Electrical Testing Engineer to join their team.

The main purpose of this Electrical Testing Engineer role is to be responsible for carrying out electrical inspection and testing and identifying defects on commercial sites.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £50,000 P/A, depending on experience.

This role is full-time and permanent. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 10 hour shift paid door to door.

Reporting to the Quality Manager your responsibilities will include:

• Carry out EICRs, inspection and testing on commercial electrical installations.
• Fault finding and non-compliances
• Test and diagnose pump installations
• Carrying out reactive and emergency electrical work
• Maintain testing records, complying with BS 7671, health and safety and company standard

The ideal candidate:

• City and Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing is essential
• ECS Gold Card
• Experience with commercial pump installations, booster sets, sump pumps, sewage pumps, water systems or similar.
• Experience testing and fault-finding motor circuits and control panels.
• Experience with commercial electrical installations
• Full UK driving licence
• Willing to staying away (at least 1 week per month)
• National Travel
• Understanding of BS 7671 regulations
• All offers made by the client are subject to DBS checks
• The client performs random drug testing throughout employment and including induction week
• Lunches are unpaid breaks.
