Tradewind Recruitment is working with a specialist school in Tameside seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), communication needs and associated behavioural challenges. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to help pupils access a tailored and engaging curriculum.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs.
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Support the delivery of individual learning plans and therapeutic interventions.
• Encourage pupil independence and celebrate progress, however small.

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, complex needs, healthcare needs or within a care setting.
• A patient, resilient and caring approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable supporting pupils with personal care needs.
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
• A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young people.
