CLIENT ACCOUNTANT

Dickson O’Brien Associates are recruiting for an ACA/ACCA qualified Client Accountant to join a successful and growing accountancy practice in Greater Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who wants variety, responsibility and genuine career progression within an established team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

You'll manage your own portfolio of clients while playing an important role within the wider practice, including:

• Preparing statutory accounts and tax returns
• Managing client deadlines and workloads
• Dealing directly with clients and HMRC
• Reviewing accounts and bookkeeping work
• Supporting and mentoring junior staff
• Managing and allocating work across the team
• Handling technical accounting queries
• Building strong, long-term client relationships
• Supporting senior management with ad hoc projects

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You'll ideally be:

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• 2+ years post-qualified
• 5+ years' accountancy practice experience
• Confident dealing with clients
• Technically strong across accounts and compliance
• Organised, commercially minded and deadline driven
• Experienced in supervising or mentoring others

Knowledge of Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and DEXT would be an advantage.
