Class 1 HGV Driver

Location: Manchester, M26
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Hours: 45 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts — 1 week days / 1 week nights

We’re looking for experienced and reliable Class 1 HGV Drivers to join a busy and established operation in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for professional drivers looking for a permanent position, competitive earning potential and a varied role combining driving, deliveries and hands-on operational work.

You’ll be an important part of the transport team, ensuring customer deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while supporting the wider warehouse operation when required.

Class 1 HGV Driver The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing multi-drop customer deliveries safely, professionally and on time.
• Loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring goods are handled correctly.
• Carrying out handballing and pallet breakdowns where required.
• Completing delivery paperwork, records and associated warehouse administration.
• Carrying out vehicle and load checks in line with company procedures.
• Supporting general warehouse and operational activities when required.
• Working closely with the transport and warehouse teams to maintain an efficient service.

Class 1 HGV Driver What We’re Looking For

To be successful, you’ll need:

• A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• A current UK driving licence.
• A minimum of 2 years’ driving experience.
• Previous warehouse experience would be advantageous.
• The physical and mental aptitude to undertake manual and mechanical duties.
• A reliable, flexible and safety-conscious approach.
• A willingness to support wider operational requirements.
• FLT training will be provided where required.
