Looking to build a career in B2B sales with strong earning potential and a clear route into senior commercial roles?

Our client is expanding its team in Salford Quays and is looking for a driven Business Development Executive to generate new business opportunities and arrange quality appointments for the wider sales team.

You'll be speaking directly with business owners and senior decision-makers, opening conversations, identifying commercial opportunities and building relationships with prospective clients. It's a role for someone who enjoys the challenge of new business development and wants their performance to translate into earnings and career progression.

The Role

You'll be responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities, developing your own pipeline and arranging appointments for the wider sales team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Making outbound calls to prospective business customers.

• Engaging business owners and senior decision-makers.

• Identifying opportunities and understanding client requirements.

• Qualifying prospects and arranging appointments.

• Following up warm leads and previous conversations.

• Managing your pipeline and keeping CRM records up to date.

• Working towards activity, appointment and revenue targets.

• Sharing prospect and market feedback with the wider team.

About You

You'll have previous telesales or B2B sales experience and be confident speaking with business customers over the phone.

You'll need to be commercially minded, resilient and comfortable generating new opportunities through outbound activity. Strong communication and listening skills are important, alongside the ability to build rapport, ask the right questions and identify genuine business opportunities.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their performance, responds well to targets and is motivated to develop their sales career.

The Package

• £28,000–£30,000 starting basic salary, with increases based on performance.

• Uncapped commission.

• Realistic first-year OTE of £40,000–£50,000.

• The highest commission earner exceeded £130,000 in commission last year.

• Based in Salford Quays.

• Clear progression into Business Development Manager and more senior commercial roles.
